Mission and Outreach

In response to Christ’s call to “love our neighbor” we strive to reach out locally and beyond to serve especially those on the margins of community life.  Our service and advocacy efforts include:

• Food Bank & Personal Needs Closet

• Service Circle & Children’s Clothing Closet

• Grange Food Basket Program

• Red Cross Food Warehouse Work

• Red Cross Blood Drives

• CROP Walk

• Meals on Wheels

• Thanksgiving Basket & Christmas Giving Projects

• Loaves and Fishes Meals

• Bread for the World Hunger Sundays

• AMU Rwandan Orphan Ministry

• One Great Hour of Sharing

• Our Church’s Wider Mission of the United Church of Christ

In 2006 our local mission efforts served approximately 2,400 people in
Meridian Township and distributed goods worth nearly $182,000.
