Mary L. Nelson Memorial Haslett Food Pantry

If you had trouble calling on May 28, 2024, please try again. Our phone lines were temporarily down.

Haslett Community Church is proud to house and operate the primary food pantry for residents of the Haslett School District.

The Haslett Food Pantry provides food that makes meals for about a week for the entire household and personal care items including diapers, if needed. No application needed.

For food pantry assistance call 517.339.8430 and a food pantry volunteer will be in touch!

We have operated for over 40 years and are affiliated with the Greater Lansing Food Bank. On average, we assist 55 families per month including::

  • Single Parents

  • Seniors/adults on disability

  • Persons living on fixed incomes

  • Those employed and not employed

  • Families in need of food

How to Help:

  • Monetary donations (checks to Haslett Community Church with “food pantry” in memo line or online by clicking HERE, choose FOOD PANTRY from FUND drop down)

  • Donate groceries and personal need items

  • Organize and/or participate in community food drives

  • Encourage business, service clubs and other groups to donate money and/or food

How Your Help Is Used:

Monetary donations are used to purchase essential items that are not in inventory, as well as perishable food items such as meat and produce.
Each client family receives enough food for one week and personal need items.

We also make referrals to other agencies, as appropriate, to obtain clothing, furniture, and gasoline, to prevent utility shut-offs, and to prevent housing evictions.

God must really love us a lot because he spoiled us with really good food and, oh yeah, I’m really glad about the Kleenex too.
— Little Girl Leaving the Food Pantry
After we got groceries from the Food Pantry, we had enough money to get the car fixed and I was able to keep my job.
